It's our village Charity Open Gardens this weekend and there's torrential rain forecast for tomorrow. I'm down in the dumps now.

Happened to us the last 2 years; last year we had about 2 couples wandering miserably round the village in very wet cagoules; this year it was just downpours though the sunny spells.....we sat under an awning having coffee and cake for the heaviest of it.

Amanda,
I am so sorry after reading the weather forecast.
We were gonna join you on saturday, but to be honest, with the little one in tow I don't think we will be there if it really rains that heavy.

To be frank, the weather predictions are generally wrong here. They are right for about 10 miles away but wrong for here. I think we are too far from the nearest weather station. I hope that's the same where you are. Chin up, someone will still come

How disappointing Amanda after everybodies hard work preparing for it and after all the gorgeous weather we've had.
I hope the weathermen have been too pessimimistic in their predictions and the weather will be better than they say. Fingers crossed for you.

I remember the forecasts frequently being wrong when we lived in Inverurie. There's hope for you yet!
The children used to watch the local forecast on Grampian in the winter, and if snow wasn't forecast when wanted, they'd switch over to BBC to see if they forecasted snow for sledging!!
