  • MMmmmmm raspberry vodka

Kids are tucked up in bed.
OH is doing his trail-walker event - see below (nutter!).
Just cracked open this years raspberry voddy!
Yes I know I'm Bad but it's just sooooooo gorgeous.
I urge anybody who hasn't had a go at making it yet to do so.
It also makes a great gift, if you manage not to drink it all that is! HIC!

Imagination is everything, it is a preview of what is to become.

          Here you go Anna...
          1 bottle supermarket vodka
          300g raspberries
          caster sugar, to taste

Pile it all in a kilner jar or similar and shake daily till the sugar is disolved.
          Store somewhere cool and dark.
After a few months strain into a bottle and enjoy! Yum!
You can add more sugar before straining into the bottle if you find it's not sweet enough for you!

I've got two large kilner jars of the stuff on the go but most of that is designated as pressies. Am currently (well not quite at this moment!) drinking some rhubarb vodka (it's like pop!) and some mixed berry bacardi which is very good and was made with some bacardi somebody left after a party and a load of frozen fruit I found in the back of the freezer from last year.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Yes, and it doesn't need to be vodka. I use brandy with blueberries and instead of straining and drinking the booze I spoon the whole thing, fruit and all, onto things like ice-cream and pancakes. The alcohol preserves the fruit.
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.
