DD called me to say that after a second scan (this time with a consultant) the twins are looking very good, 2 good strong heart beats and although they're identical they have their own little sleeping quarters which is slightly less risky. So a great big smile (and a few tears) for that one.

Then reading this lot - Ivory League?!!!! moths, embarrasing parents and lottie slapstick - excellent thread!!

Walking in to Sansburys today and there is a member of staff tidying up the flower section. Notice there's a pile of empty flower buckets beside her, so asked nicely and she gave me them for free, SCORE!

HAHAHAHAH You're as bad as me - I went to a job interview (years ago now) and we started chatting about stuff, and I was sure of them said something about a Playstation. So I immediately started trying to find common ground and said I had one and they were great, I really enjoyed mine etc etc.

The two chaps sat there completely agog at me, like I was totally mental. Turns out of them had said BASE station (big mental structure for phone mast type things) and somewhat different from a playstation. And they were right, totally mental.

          Nope the job wasn't mine.

Eating a triple egg sarnie with bread I'd baked myself and three fresh little eggs from a hen I'd helped bring into the world on 27th February 09! Priceless!

Not strange, but I've just spoken to my daughter on the phone and she told us that grandson number 1 has started saying 'Right, I go Nanny and Grampy's house' whenever he gets a ticking off. Made me realize that we are the people he thinks of first which was lovely, but also gave me a smile because I remember saying something very similar myself at his age.
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

On hearing the news this morning that my lovely bosses' girlfriend had a little boy at 0845am this morning. I was sent a photo at 0930am, with the message "Mum and baby doing well. Daddy in shock!" Im SO chuffed for them both - it's Nicks first child, and hopefully he will follow in his Daddy's footsteps and run the garage.
