  • I hate this feeling!

All our directors and managers are in a meeting - nothing particularly unusual about that.

However, our top top top boss is coming over this week.

You know when your mind starts....

Having been through two rounds of redundancies already in the last 12 months, one can't help but wonder.

You need defensive tactics - when they come out, you and the rest of your office need to walk around with smurks on your faces, and every now and again, nod, cock an eyebrow (if you can) and make a Graham Norton style Hmmmmmm noise.

It won't stop anyone being sacked but it will make the management wonder what you've all been up too. It takes about 20 mins before the giggles set in.

Jings Hey Wayne, I hope you have nothing to worry about - but I know what it's like when you're worrying about what thay are plotting and planning behind those doors.
I'm so glad to be retired.
Hope it all goes smooth for you.

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.

Oh dear, really hope it doesn't turn into what you think it might be.

We've got a 'management meeting' due to start at 11 today, almost exactly three months after our last round of redundancies...which means they could do it again if they wanted to. I've bitten my nails down to nothing as I'm really only doing half a job at the moment. My project has finished (client cancelled their contract), so no Materials Controlling to do except tidy up the loose ends, and I cover Reception from 8-1 just while our proper Receptionist is on Maternity - yeah, I'm screwed!!

Surely you've gained enough experience for that when trying to open the third bottle Pisk :P
