so ..... you BOTH leave the dishes on the side until one of you gets fed up seeing them ..... but it's all his fault??!!

I love my OH, but there are things I find annoying. By moaning to friends, I cope, and we stay happy together.
This thread is the perfect 'moanery', and if any of them men want to have a similar moan about their wives, there is no reason they can't. (those couples who are BOTH readers of the forum may have to reconsider whether it is quite such a good idea....)

Ah I see. You are afraid you won't attain our such exceptionally high standards, so you don't even bother to try

Seriously though ... why don't men help around the house? they make half the mess ...?

I doubt if that question will ever get an adequate anwser, bit of a role reversal here as OH works away all week and only comes on the weekend, mind you from an early age my mother always made us kids tidy up during school holidays, this involved dusting and hoovering, sweeping and mopping etc, and this had to be done every weekday before she came home from work, so perhaps the answer is the mother is to blame .

I think the problem most of you Ladies have is that you aren't married to Men but overgrown Boys.

Started off reading the first post and found it funny. I'm not sexist in any way and though I'm female I also find some of the "blonde" jokes funny too. Seems to me this thread is getting a bit intense!!

The latter seem to be much more readily found......
The friend who stated that 'men never grow up' is male, 10 years older than me, VERY immature in domestic matters, and proud of it! I call him my adopted brother....

Mine does - he's the tidiest man I've ever known - so I had to move in with him sharpish.

I think you may have hit the nail on the head there. I had three daughters and one son and they all helped with housework, cooking, decorating and DIY. Result = 4 adults perfectly able (and willing) to look after themselves!

My significant other is not perfect, he leaves his dirty clothes on the bedroom floor has some questionalbe personal habits! but i love him warts and all, just as he does me.
I would rather have him the way he is than not have him atall. Soppy but true.
