  • Good Grief its raining cats and dogs out there!!

So much rain is falling at the moment that the road looks like a river!! Its gone seriously dark too - but Isle of Wight Weather aren't tracking any thunder storms at the moment, so I won't have to explain to the MD why I'm hiding in his cupboard - thankfully!

I think it's probably on it's way here, typical 2nd day of Lowestoft Airshow. Still it's sunny at the moment. BTW when I was a kid I used to hide under the kitchen table with the dog when it was stormy so don't feel bad about your cupboard.

      Dark as Night.....

      .....very dark & threatening outside.

So, Cosmic Ordering; Please don't let it rain until Wednesday!!! Please!

My AP's are coming today, and the lawns need mowing & strimming today or the grass will be so long we'll have a hay cut instead......I can't do this job myself, and OH is away in meetings until lunchtime.

Please don't let it rain until Wednesday!!! Please!

      Jules

PS Not 10 mins after posting, it shoved it down, and hasn't stopped yet. Fab...not.

Thank you , people (including my OH) think I'm pathetic, but I just can't bear thunder and lightning.

...And now its bright sunshine out there!! Is this April?

We had a few spots earlier in but looking at how black the sky is it looks like we'll be getting a downpour soon.

Bren - I've just had it here - one minute sunshine, then a strange wailing harsh wind then the downpour.

Grabbed all the clothes off the line, they were just dry as well. *tuts

Off to the shops now, we desperately need chocolate - er I mean food.

Thunder, lightening, torrential rain and no power at my house (OH txt as I'm at work). Jake the dog a quivering wreck as is petrified of thunder.

We were at an outdoor b-day party and it just FELL down - thunder, lightening, HAIL! Great big lumps of it. We decided it was a good time to eat and when we had all finished it stopped again!

We have builders here today and give them their dues they are still here - on a WET friday lol

We were driving along the M4 at 9.30(ish). EVERYONE slowed down to about 40. NO EXCEPTIONS! That is how heavy the rain was. It lasted about 10 mins, then returned to drizzle.
Half an hour later, sunshine, until we were about to come home (1ish). Started out as 'drizzle', but got heavier, to slowing-down levels on M4 again (not as heavy as morning). Now sunny again, but plenty of clouds around, waiting......

We're in the middle a good strom at the moment, wish I'd got the greenhouse watered earlier, the water butts would have collected a bit more

We had heavy rain at 9.30 this morning and its raining again now. But we had lovely sunshine inbetween and got a line of washing dry. We did not get the rain that Barley Sugar got at 4.40 (above) and we are just down the road!
