And my apples and kiwi's also seem to be doing ok. The rest of the jungle that greeted me on my return after 7 weeks was almost enough to make me cry however.
I have seen a basic error, planted my toms too close together, now cant get anywhere near them.
Cant see my leeks at all, although I know I had some when I left, the runner bean net has a couple of tiny flowers peeping through a mass of weeds, couch grass and bindweed.
I have a squash that has escaped its raised bed, escaped the veggie plot and is currently heading towards the house at a rate of knots, I fear for my safety sleeping at nights, as its going towards my bedroom window.
The horseradish tub has disappeared totally, and as I sat now, looking forlornly out of my back window, the thistles are at least 4ft high.
And its raining.
Will be better tomorrow when I'm less tired from travelling I'm sure.
