Me too Sara, I had three kids, shift work, married, whole thing, had 6 credits back when you needed 8 for a degree, cashed them in, full time at LSE (credits exempted me first year of course). ended up with a BSc from LSE (marriage broke up whilst I was there, diagnosed with leukaemia), a BA from OU, an MSC from LSE and a PhD - and I left school with no qualifications at all.

First thought on the two paintings is a major class difference.

Oranges, lemons and a tea cup in a posh setting compaired to pears and a water jug on a farmhouse type setting.

Pears taste nicer?

What symbology is implied by the fruit as shown, one picture shows fruit blossom, what significance is implied? Is there a notable date difference between the paintings, what was happening in the artists lives at this point in time.

These and loads more thought provoking questions supplied on demand.......

Good luck, keeping it down to 500 words could be hard!
