Can I be Fluffy the Hedgehog who I recall was the hero who ate the slug which was just about to eat the magic bean??
I think he also appeared later on in the tale, when least expected !! Always in the dark of night when no-one else was around!
How about Roger the Hedgehog a more challanging part

Remember that a lone amateur built the Ark.
A large group of professionals built the Titanic
Do Jennie's wigs double up as a slug repelent then? Fantastic!
Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.
Whoops! Goose should've followed on from Mandyballantyne at the end of p.3. Completely missed p.4. sorry if it makes things out of synch. Still, it may work in with the previous line from Nicos.
Aha!! That'll be the Goose then, looking for her Golden Egg..........
Nooooooooo ....... it was the chomping gums of the slug, slurping his way through what he thought was a wig, but in fact turned out to be Roger the hedgehog. What a disappointment for him, but then just as Roger thought all was lost, Dill gave a great roar (there you go I got him back in!) ...... and ...........

.......... Jack hearing the roar decided that perhaps he didnt really want to go on to Snow Scarletts cottage, especially if that roaring noise was coming from the cottage! He thought hard and wondered what the noise could have been, what could Snow Scarlett be doing to the Dwarves to get such a noise out of them!
Of course, being a bit stupid he didnt realise it was Dill making the noise, nor did he realise that s/he was looking for a little something..........
