Yes, I'm going to start another thread, but....

A coincidence, or an unlucky - lucky - accident. Many years ago I had a motor cycle accident on the Isle of Wight. Went tearing through Godshill, a little village, at some speed (as you do). I totally missed a bend, and collided with two garden walls. One belonged to the local police house, the other was the local doctor. Both gentlemen were off duty at the time of the accident, and both were in their gardens! Within, literally, a few seconds, the ploice were at the scene as was the medical help. I was very grateful to be dealt with extremely quickly.
Anybody else got any sort of weird(ish) things?

Some years back, a woman I know was driving a friend home to the country when she hit into a ditch on a corner, miles from anywhere, hitting her head. She was dazed and began to panic at the thought of her eight-and-a-half-month-pregnant friend in the passenger seat, who'd passed out. She had no way of contacting anyone (it was before everyone had mobiles).

Within five minutes, another car came round the corner, stopped and out jumped a doctor with a mobile phone. All ended well with a lovely baby born the following day.

I 'drowned' once. And was saved by a biscuit.

It was 1999. A Sunday morning. I was home alone. I was typing at a computer early in the morning, dressed in a robe and heeled slippers! I had ran a bath but was still typing at the PC. I got up to walk along the corridor and my leg and foot had froze and gone numb. As I tried to get up and walk, I slipped off my slipper heel and must have twisted my ankle. I said a sort of ouch or similar and hobbled on up the corridor on one slipper. When I got to the bathroom I was in a lot of pain with my foot. The warm bath water looked really soothing and so I popped my leg into the water. At which point I passed out. I woke up choking under the water with my robe still on. I had taken in a lot of water and had choked up some biscuit I had had with a cuppa earlier. I will never forget the vision in the bathroom mirror of my head and face as I came too choking. My other slipper was still in the hallway. If it was not for the biscuit I would have stayed asleep under the water. I am not sure what my finder would have made of what had happened to me. Happily, I can tell the tale.
Moral. Biscuits are good for me !

Don't know if this counts or not, but here goes.....

Couple of years ago a client of mine cancelled a meeting at the last minute which left me with nothing to do. So I wandered off to T*sco and happened to be passing the estate agents on the way. Thought I'd pop in and see if they had any country properties for sale - 99% of the time there was either nothing or way beyond our price range - guess what? Yup, they did...only 'problem' was it closed the following day (in Scotland that means you have to have your bid in by then)...mad rush to get it surveyed, actually SEE it and get hubby organised to get time off work to see it too. To cut a long story short, I managed all three, we got our bid in seconds before midday....and........and...........

nah, you're wrong......WE LOST IT!! Apparently our bid was about £1500 short on the highest bidder.

As you might imagine I was gutted. Totally gutted. It wasn't perfect but it was the first one ever that we thought we would be able to afford.

Anyway, kind of hit it off with the estate agent.....who TWO WEEKS LATER...called me to say there was another property coming on the market the following day and he'd arranged for us to be amongst the first to see it.........

Fell in love with it; really hit it off with the current owners who introduced us to half the village while we were viewing.....asked her what she wanted for it.....we could afford it........and by the end of the day we'd shaken hands on the deal.....

Moved in a couple of months later! Been poorer than poor ever since but having a ball and wouldn't change a thing

so a definate lucky coincidence wouldnt you say................?????????????
