    Hey PW
Really sorry to hear the news but as all my fellow grapes have pointed out to me since being I was forced to call it a day, - as one door closes another opens - I have taken six phone calls this last week offering me work and I have only told a few people up here about having to jack it in completely. I made more money this week than I have in the last ten - in fact if every week was gonna be like this one I'll be 100% free of business debt within a year.
At least you have a window (however small) to consider your options and work out what direction you want to go in - I like the name Piglet's Pantry - especially as it doesn't ie you to one specific type of product.
Anyway matey, best of British to you and the wife from me and mine.

        YAY!!! That's excellent news Rat.

PW - you won't be 'unbusy' for long I suspect. It sounds as if you are already getting stuff lined up.....there's alot of ladies that like a good muffin by the sounds of it.

        Where do I sign...???

Good luck, PW. Changing ones career path is always difficult - I have done it a few times myself. Usually a case of having to.

If the motivation is there and you have found a niche market - go for it, Even if times are a bit rough there seem to be a few here on the vine who like some of your products anyway...

          Rat - good news mate.

Shirls and I wish you both the best.

Fingers crossed for you PW, even though I don't think you'll need it. When I was made redundant last year it really took the wind out of my sails (redundancy only happens to other people) and I moped around like a saddo for over a month just feeling sorry for myself. However, a year later, yes I'm seriously skint (but no debt) but I've learned a valuable lesson - to differentiate between want and need. We can manage without ... and we can't manage without ...

I now have gardening work most days, not enough but it's growing, and I have not felt so free and relaxed for as long as I can remember. Doing something purely for yourself and your partner is so much more rewarding than lining someone else's pocket and feeling like a slave.

You will enjoy your new life, especially if you have the love and support of a good partner, so make the most of it - go for it!

Thanks all, its the 4th time I will have been made redundant and we have always managed to get by so far, even when it came out of the blue.

Another vote for Piglets Pantry. This thread has had me in stitches - the norty step must be full to bursting. What about mail order? Will accept wee dinky jars of your chilli, surely it won't cost much to post? Or how about a mini-Christmas hamper with a selection of your wares (no need for fancy hamper, cardboard box will do)

                    Piglets Pantry - like it.

Bit late to the party I know - but that's fashionable isn't it?

I sincerely hope this works out for you dude - as another grape who's so giving, you deserve to get a little something back.

Will you be wearing a pinny?

I just want to add my vote for Piglet's Pantry - it's a great name, never mind no pork products, pigs are vegetarian, so lots of veggie stuff will fit right in.

Good luck with the new venture and don't forget to let us know when you go mail order.

I was looking for jam pot labels and I saw <<THIS SITE>> and thought of you. Not sure how they would work in the post and they only hold 1 cake but it might be of interest - nice site anyway.

Well, we had a "foot in the water" at our local village show and sold out of the sweet chilli sauce, both hot and hotter varieties.

I think we have found a niche there.

As a bonus we met some grapes as well Thanks for coming over guys.
