  • giving up my lotty & the blue shed

Well, it's been coming, but a combination of my bike crash and the awful weather 3 years running means that I am giving up one of my lotties: I haven't been able to work it at all for the last 4 months, and only barely for the 8 months before that).

It is 6 miles away and every time I try to get to do some work, it rains. Cycling 12 miles in pouring rain just ain't fun, and it's not feasible by bus either (£6, and still a 2 mile walk to and fro).

More sad than that, I am selling my blue shed (see avatar). I hope someone will love them both as much as I have.

I can now direct all my energy into my new lotty, which is only 2 miles away.

Sorry to hear that TS. Is your new lottie closer to home? I'm sure someone will get a great deal of pleasure from your lovely looking shed. I assume you already have another one at the new lottie.

Bad news, but a sensible decision. No point over-doing it when you're still suffering from the bike crash.

Will you still be Two Sheds or downsizing to One Shed? or even just 'Shed'?

        Oh, tough choice Sheds
But I know you'll have hated letting it go untended - you're a 'give it your all' type of gal Well done for being brave enough to let it go. Your new lottie will benefit from having your full attention, I'm sure. Shame about the shed, can't you fit it on the new lottie?

however more sensible. Problem is the heart doesn't like sense though does it

Can you not move the Blue shed to your new lottie?

I always think it sad to give up a plot.....think of all the work you put in to it.

No TS, not the blue shed - that is sad, but sounds like a sensible solution. Perhaps there may be the chance of a second plot at your new lottie in the future? Best of luck for the rest of this season at the new lottie - let's hope for some sun..

Got a shed at the nearer lottie? Can you paint it blue 'in memory'?
Sometimes you've got to take the hard decision. As soon as you do you feel better.

Sorry to hear about your decision, but perhaps its for the best. Cant you move your blue shed to your new lottie? I painted Dexters Den (my shed) blue because I'd seen yours. Good luck with the new lottie. Hoping to hear how you get on.

It would be daft .... it would cost me a lot to hire a Chap To Tow It, and I have a new shed on the new lotty: cost me a hundred squid and is dark brown with white spots (knot holes, grrrr), until I decide what shade to paint it (methinking Sage this time).

Good luck with the venture, it will certainly be easier to handle.

Sorry to hear your news 2 Sheds but maybe its for the best.
Perhaps now that you only have the one plot and are nearer to it you will have more time to enjoy it and not be fretting about the amount of work that needed to be done on the second plot.
Hope it all works out for you.
