  • Whats your favourite Xmas film?

As the festive season draws ever nearer, along with the chance of some time off work (and if the weather doesnt improve then its possible you wont be able to get to work on the plot / garden as much as perhaps we'd all like to ), I thought I'd ask what everyone's favourite seasonal film to curl up, relax and watch is? If its raining cats and dogs, blowing a gale or the ground is frozen solid, then what will you do with your time off, what will you make a point of watching, and what films do you really not want to see come xmas / yule? Share them with us all, and possibly the memories that they evoke or just what it is that you really enjoy about them?
    Blessings

            Anything Disney
Mary Poppins - practically perfect in every way
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang - don't agree with you about the childcatcher Rat, he always used to scare me
The Big Country - the only western I will sit and watch all the way through.
The Thomas Crown Affair either version is good.

Always used to watch a Bond film with the family over Christmas. Couldn't usually hear it well, what with my nan snoring but it reminds me of younger days.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

shirley Valentine and Thelma and Louise. They never fail to give me a lift and a smile. Always feel in better humour after watching them.

My favourite film of all time has to be 'A Matter of Life and Death' and I could watch it everyday - it's recently been screened on Film4 and I watched it every time it was on!!!

I first saw it when I was about 10 years old and had a huge crush on David Niven ever since!
