      It's boom time now and they're hoping it will die down in a few years and people will stop wanting them.

      It's the 'in' thing to do for this year especially for the Londoners who have to follow trends.

        I agree...we had the celb Cooks opening expensive restruants and everyone wanting to be a property developer.

          Our council have just been on the radio shouting about how much they are doing to provide allotments. Shame my mum and dad are stuck on a site where 4 plots haven't been tended for months (one years) but because they pay their rent the council aren't interested! Keep phoning them, e-mailing them but hey they aren't bothered. So frustrating...

            Scientist chappie was on Jeremy Vine today saying how we are going to be facing food shortages in a few years, and that Brits should be prepared to start growing their own food ... so all those brickweave drives will have to come back up then

                Oi!! As Chair of Recreation and Open Spaces on our local council one of my two priority projects is to provide more allotments.
