Love it Enrich. What classes as excess profits?
Can't imagine there'd be much of that with your extremely high overheads

I wonder if you could approach it from a either a group chat, or a 'caring' slant to mum. By which I mean to all the children all together and a general chat about how dangerous is to cut wires because of electricity and then perhaps ask said eeeeeevil boy to stick in finger in socket as a demo.....(just kidding about the finger obviously)

Or take mummy darling to one side and say how concerned you are that you found cut wires on cable and have no idea how it happened but its sooooooo dangerous because of electrocution risk, then ask darling boy to stick fingers in socket.....(ah sorry already done that one).

Say it's only because you're so worried and very concerned about eeeevil child being hurt accidentally that you just HAD to mention it, because you didn't want him to get hurt blah blah blah. You could say that you've already spoken to your boy and explained if it happens again, no one will be able to play with the stuff without adults being around.

Of course she has no idea that you've said nothing to your lad and actually her brat is responsible - she'll (maybe) just think how lovely you are for being such a caring friend and brat boy will know he's being watched and perhaps stop (again maybe).

I have read through and it could have been the friend, but the same thing happened to us and it was definitely the kitten. The bar was still in place, and he'd eaten through the wire, which is why we've now gone wireless. I have lost count of how many earphones they've lost because they leave them around and he chews the earplugs off. He will also go for phone chargers, in fact anything with a wire, but the thicker ones only show chew marks.
I could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!

He got a new Manchester United football shirt. (It was the first pressy he opened and he immediatley put it on before even opening the others),
A digital camera so that he does have to keep borrowing mine, and a set of proper headphones so he can listen to music while he plays on his pc.
he also got some money from his Granny which he has already spent on a ps3 game
                    So yes very happy
