And I will send Ghengis the cat!

I watched 3 drunken thugs climb over cars near my house, they continued down the road and the damage apparently got worse and worse as they went. We gave statements and the lads were caught. They were p***ed up and bored, which is no flaming excuse My point is though it was mindless and not personal. Just a bunch of yobs with nowt better to do.

Enjoy a hot bath and pamper yourself.

We had a rear windscreen smashed while the car was parked outside. Probably the family who had recently done a 'house swap' with the previous nice ones opposite. They have 5 boys (various ages) and the youngest definitely has problems. From observation, his biggest problems are his father and one of his older brothers....
One or more of the older ones used to 'party' with friends in an old caravan. The first thing they did was remove the windows, and sit in there smoking. Now I wouldn't know for sure, but that didn't smell quite like tobacco smoke.......
They do seem to have improved a bit in the 2 years they have lived there. Either the worst of them have left home, or the general niceness of the neighbours (although some are weird, quite apart from us) has rubbed off a bit.

Thanks again everyone, i'm feeling a bit better, i've been to see my dad and a close friend of mine tonight, OH was great, he gave me a Biiiig Hug and said things would be ok, but this has knocked me sideways, i think its going to take a long time before i feel safe again, OH's going to install a camera system at the weekend to keep an eye on our cars, and one round the back of our house just in case this wasn't a one off, i've got the crime prevention team coming tomorrow to see if they can see any holes in our security, and i'm going to ask about starting a neighbourhood watch, i've got to feel i'm getting a bit of control back, if that makes any sense.

I sympathise GN - many years ago when my flat was burgled, I wanted to know who it was - so I could go punch their lights out!

Hope you're feeling a bit better today!

Too many children today are bringing themselves up! They have no sense of responsibilty and have never had any guidelines. They"pack" together and any common sense they may have had goes by the board. As a pack of dogs will set upon another animal, these children too will follow the leader and attack other children or property without concious thought.
I once heard someone say "But how would you stop them?" and the reply "Shoot the buggers that would stop 'm"
I wouldn't go that far(maybe!) but, certainly something must be done. If I were to let my dogs out to run wild and cause mayhem I would be fined, and rightly so.
This may be the answer to wild children as well!!
Heywayne I could never imagine that dear snotter being a nuisance to anyone. I could kiss him, snot and all!

It wasn't children, this was done by adults, as they ran off they were picked up on the cctv a the back of the dentist down the road from me, the police have just phoned me to let me know, and they told me that the cctv looks promising, so fingers crossed, i've been told by a friend who lives down from me that they were about 25-30 years old so definitely not kids.

Commiserations gingerninger, I know what you mean about feeling 'targeted' - We've just discovered today that my daughter's bike has been stolen off the drive It's only a couple weeks since my son's was stolen She only got this one last week off her cousin and the OH had been pumping the tyres and oiling the chain, and forgot to lock it back up Really angry with him, and especially with 'them', we can't afford to just go out and buy new bikes! I haven't even bothered ringing the police, what are they going to do?!
I'm contemplating borrowing my dad's electric fence stuff...

We heard about youngsters who live near family in London who damage cars, keying, and side lights etc. And they film each other on their mobile phones. Its ludicrous, although the police can at least cease a suspects mobile phone for any evidence. Its a bad sign of the times when kids and adults will stoop so low to steal or damage someone elses property. When we were kids I thought it really bad to play knock down ginger as I felt it was trespass.
