My first puter was a ZX Spectrum, one of the 48K ones that were faulty, it took me 3 days at xmas to persuade my Dad it was broken, he thought it was us doing something wrong!

We have a bitza too! It has been built by himself over the last few years, like yours Snadger, remarkably like Triggers broom!
I have no idea what memory we have, all I do is switch it on and it works. I leave the fiddling about to him.
It has been built from bits and bobs that he has found here and there. Also pretty handy that our neighbour is a computer whizz and helps us out with any snags.

My first one was a Nascom. It was based on the Z80 processor & came as a kit & you had to build it all yourself just under 1k of memory & all machine code programing Mine had a lovely case with real Teak side panels

my desk top has been hijaked by the kids too they playgames on that one
my first computer wasa commodore 64 what a machine that was and i still have it you could get a ram module that increase the ram to wait for it a HUGE (for the day) 2mb cost nearly £200
i rember me and the brother in law ogeling a p.cway back in '95 it had pentium 90
1gb hdd
16mb ram 14inch moniter
and ran windows 95
all for the tidy sum of£1499.99
ahh them were the days

Well, Being a bit of a techy (Grins), I guess I would have a new computer - Last month I bought a Dual Core Intel VIIV 3.2 GHz Thingy which basically means it's running 2x 3.2Ghz Processors - That's 6.4GHz of processing power!

It's got 1.5Gb of Ram - 19in Flat LCD Screen to boot
