Last day at work!

Hooray!!! Last day at work today til after the New Year!!!

If you don't work in retail, (sorry Mrs D!) it will probably be the last day at work until January 07!

Excellent, now all I need is for the weather to stay fine so I can catch up on all the jobs that need attention at the lottie! Looking forward to sowing my Kelsae onions especially as it seems a while since I had any type of seed through my fingers!

We've got the Sally Army band in our foyer at lunch time playing us carols so hopefully can get off straight after that - a couple of Christmas drinks in the pub and then home to cook a ham - assuming I've not had too many of those Christmas drinks!

Last day at work for me too! This place (university) is so quiet, all the students went last week and most of the staff have goe at various points this week....

Here's hoping our boss lets us home early, I've got baking to do!!!

Last day at work for me too, but I'm back on the 3rd. Leaves only two days to celebrate the New Year - need alot longer than that up here! (Like most of January!!)

Hope everyone enjoys their time off over the festive season! Working in retail at this time of year is hard, but its a critical peak trading time, so we have to do as much as we can to hit our sales targets, so if we've got to be there, then that all there is to it!

I've actually done the rotas to maximise time off for the full time staff over the next 2 weeks, so everyone has gone onto a 2 in, 2 off rota for the next 13 days, although it means that we'll all have to work 3 long 9am till 8pm shifts, it does mean we all get 7 days out of the next 2 weeks off! So, I'm in tomorrow and xmas eve, but then 3 days off before doing two 11 hour shifts on Thurs and Fri. Then the weekend off, back in on New Years Day at 10am till 6pm, in on the Tuesday 9 till 8, then 2 days off, friday is back to normal shifts and then I'm off for a weeks holidays! Just hope the weather is good enough to get down the plot and finish the double digging in time for planting in feb/march!

Well, guess I was one of the lucky ones! my boss let me finish an hour early at 330pm! - mind you, I did really well! supermarket in local village was empty - not my first choice for xmas shopping, but what the hell! bought what I thought I needed -and that will do!
Housework tomorrow - that and putting some cardboard down on my lottie to kill the weeds - yippeee! Dexterdog

Or is this the equivalent of a squirrel coming out of her nice warm nest, finding the cache of nut's she's buried, (new lottie?) only to fiill her pouch (laying cardboard?)and return to hibernation?

Welllll, I "worked from home" thursday/friday this week & am doing it for the 3 days next week so I don't have the 3 hours of travelling to look forward to

I've got 4 days off (providing no-one calls in sick). Working late shift Boxing Day. Merry Xmas everyone
