LOL!
We used to have a director chap who used to go off and promise stuff we could never ever deliver and would get uppity with me when I used to point this out [everyone else was scared to, I was always the nominated one].....and he was so rubbish it was painful Even the people that recruited him used to apologise for him; in front of him.
Anyway during a 'management workshop' where they were trying to get top bods to understand that they needed to listen to those managers on the ground [moi], we had to build a rocket ship but the rules were in different rooms and someone had to go round and collate all the instructions.
I told him time and time again not to cut the card as he hadn't checked the measurements.............and yes, we ended up with a short ar$e rocket. He had to get those scissors out didn't he.......much fun when he had to present his rather sad looking rocket to the rest of the management team. One other 'on the ground' manager shouted out 'I'll bet I know whose fault that is'; as the rest of the management erupted in hysterics.
Aah, management conferences; they sound so interesting until you actually go to one. Nightmare.
