I had an idyllic childhood, my dad had a sweet shop. So many wonderful memories! Gorgeous little sweets like little jewels called Squirrel Gums, all those great big jars from floor to ceiling, hot cashew nuts. My favourite bars were Milky Lunch.
It was also a tobacconists, but I don't remember that so much! Although I do remember weighing tiny amounts of snuff into paper cones and twisting the tops! Eek I sound old - I'll get my coat.

My SIL bought me several packets of Imps a few years back! I had been raving nostalgically about them, thinking they were no longer. Yummy!

I remember them as well! Lovely! Who remembers Blackcurrant Liquorice and Chocolate Limes? A chap dropped off a box of sweets for people to buy for a £1 - and these were included, as well as lots of others! Mmmmm, I don't eat sweets, BUT - and on my desk as well! My excuse/reason - it's for charity!

When are they going to bring back Galaxy chocolate drops, they were great! Like a Minstrel without a shell, in a white packet with a picture of a giraffe on it... Mmmmmm..

GALAXY COUNTERS, used to love them, whenever i mention them to people they think i have gone barmy, was starting to think i had imagined them.

I dont think any of the chocolate tastes the same as it did when I was a kid. I cant remember having a favourite but I do remember getting poppets out of the machine at the railway station on our way to South - End -On - Sea.

I axtually found Wham bars in a local garage t'other day. I don't remember tha paranoia that came with eating it, though! I sucked instead of chewing, lol! Glad to see Drifters coming back. Yummy!

Floral gums, honeycomb (not real, huge slabs of the middle of a Crunchy Bar, the side bits with the bigger holes). Wagon Wheels were deffo bigger and Gobstoppers did the job. Elf 'n Safety 'ave done their job there .
