Little fella knows there is hope but not definite. We will ring french embassy tomorrow and hubby will have to wait while we check in to be sure it's ok. As I also have a valid ID card I will simply present those instead of passports at the desk and see what happens. I hope that way does not confuse them as a passport plus ID card might. On the return my bro has advised to present ID cards in France and passports plus ID cards in UK.
Fingers crossed it all works. Probably won't have access to a computer in France but will let you all know how we got on next week when we're back.

Nearly all of us will be there. I think just one brother can't make it (it's possible he'll turn up sans wife tho) which means.....1 set of grandparents, 11 or 12 siblings, 4 grandsons, 1 grand-daughter, and that's just my side with no cousins etc. no idea how big the bride's family is.....
