Friend of mine came over to watch the Grand Prix this afternoon. As he's a fan of spicy food I said afterwards "fancy trying one of the worlds hottest chillies?". I plucked my first red Naga Morich off the plant I've grown and very carefully cut a thin slice and then cut that into 4. With big glasses of milk at the ready we both used cocktail sticks to pick up one piece and put them in our mouths. For the first couple of seconds it just tasted like a nice sweet red pepper, then it exploded. Between us we consumed 2 pints of milk in the next 10 minutes trying to put out the fires. It wasn't painful, but it was close and we were both sweating profusely.
So be warned, these little b*gg*rs are as hot as they say they are.
