Can recommend Nepal for inner peace, as long as you dont mind walking a bit, by crikey its hilly round them there parts.

Bad news TS all that carpy stuff happening in such a close time, a bit of inverse Midas touch, something I suffer with too.

However, should things get so bad that you feel like emigrating, DONT move to France if impromptu strikes annoy you.

I second Bob's point on impromptu strikes in France TS.
Sorry to hear you've had such a rotten time recently. I find when there's huge piles of stress and it gets overwhelming, choosing one thing at a time to focus on and try and sort out helps. I put my stress in virtual boxes to be opened one at a time.
You can't make the injuries heal any quicker, but they will heal in time, so try not to let them stress you out and the weight will fall back off once you're better and back on your bike more so another one to put away in a virtual box and not worry about. I don't suppose there's much you can do to control the family feuding but you can choose which of the other issues is most urgent and just worry about that till it's resolved then move onto the next thing.

On a more positive note, I love your packing style I would probably swap the screwdrivers for wine but otherwise it's my kind of list

Sounds like you have been dealt a whole load of carp at the moment. It would get a lesser person down than you. I know it doesn't feel like it at the moment but it will all resolve its self.
I had a bad car crash some years back which left me with restricted movement in my uppr body, i had to go through lots of very painful physio, and i am still not back to pre crash mobility so i get frustrated and down as like you decorating, digging, carrying jobs are so much harder. How i have learnt to deal with it is this, i think about the alternative, i.e not being able to move at all and the fact that i can do things all be it restricted and i do honestly count my blessings that i am still here.
It will get better you are quite understandably down at the moment, just read all the lovely things folk have said to you and look around at all the positives in your life there will be many it is just these negatives are in the way.
Take care and i hope you are feeling better soon.
