It's always such a rush as we have to visit Andi's mum in the morning...passing the Dales on the way & the kiddies always ask to go there. So maybe this year!
    Do it!!!

We went to the lottie for 2 hours in the morning last year; we were the only ones there, it was lovely

The year before we went for a long walk down the canal path and only saw one other person, a jogger.

It really is lovely the way everyone else seems to stay indoors all day!!!

      Sounds lovely!
As a child my Dad used to always take us for a christmas afternoon walks often on the downs or Kenley airfield. It was wonderful and 30 odd years on I still have fond memories of those Christmas outings where we were the only ones out and about

What a lovely memory picture you paint of your nan. Reading it, I almost felt like I knew her - thanks for sharing her with us.
