VHS To DVD...Help Please.

I have some old V.H.S. video tapes of weddings, parties etc...and i'd love to put them on D.V.D, but i haven't got a clue how to do this, is there anyone who knows how to transfer one to the other please.. this would be very much appreciated.

Ouch.

Neither did I, so I took my Tape to Jessops and they did 5 copies onto DVD for family members.

It was very expensive mind you, about £70 quid in total, so we told the family members that was their Xmas pressies that year.

However what price memories.

Thanks Loads, I've had a look, and i think i know what to do now, or at least the O.H will.

You just need to get yourself a TV card with an AV socket and then you can record them onto your computer and burn them onto a disk.

If you have access to a DVD recorder, the easiest way is just to connect a VCR player to the recorder via scart.

Commercial videos have copy protection built in, so DVD recorders will refuse to copy them, but doesn't sound like it'd be a problem in your case.

That's the other way you could do it but some machines won't let you record from a VHS player full stop!

We have just today transfered some from vhs to dvd of our wedding and also of our daughter when she was a baby, she had never seen them and found it very funny to see herself and we had forgotton how sweet she was. It also had footage of my mum who died 5 years ago, so lovely to see her.
