  • is a satsuma alive?

    hi folks

Playing party game, 20 questions with inlaws and have had major debate as to whether a satsuma is actually alive or not. The question was 'am i a living plant?'. I said no but my mother-in-law believes that a fruit has the potential for life so is alive. Big ethical debate going round in circles here. please help tonight if possible!

    thanks

sorry if it's a bit tedious!!!

    Thanks

Ah thats a difficult one. depends if you want to upset your Mother in law or not

I guess the plant is alive but the satsuma isn't although the pips in it are the flesh brakes down & helps to break down the seed coat

does that sound like a cop out
    ntg

      Cheers mate

Your garedening guru status has convinced them, although apparently satsumas don't have pips cos their man-made or summit so yeah your definately right.

      Thanks
