OH can't understand how I can watch it but then again he is knowledgeable about music. I'm not. It's the early auditions I like. You can't help but wonder who told some of these people that they are any good

I left the sugar out of a cake once. Put cake in oven then found sugar on work surface and not in the cake! took cake out of oven (nothing to loose) scraped it out of the tins, then mixed in sugar and put back in the oven. Forgot to shut oven door! talk about when things go wrong.... but.....the cake tasted just fine- you would never have know and they didn't...
those that ate cake that is- I did tell them later though- honest

When we were little my sister accidentally put salt in custard instead of sugar...she sulked for days because we wouldn't eat it!!!

I finally got around to pickling some courgettes the other day & forgot the sugar...they really weren't the same without!

I made a crumble the other week and forgot to sprinkle sugar over the fruit. I wondered why it was taking forever to cook and gave up after 30 mins over the programmed time. It tasted ok, but to me the texture was wrong. I realised half-way through but kept shtum, as everyone else seemed to be gobbling it up just fine!
