A few months ago, I was walking down my street and a small lad (about 8-9 years old) asked me if I was David Beckham.
I'm similar on paper (tall, short hair, stubble), but otherwise I look nothing like him...sadly.
So I responded "no" and carried on walking.
Now, every time I see him he asks if I'm Beckham, to the extent that he now runs over with a pen and asks me to sign his arm!
I got bored of trying to convince him that I'm not and today I even signed his arm, and his friend's who's also decided to start asking along with a few of the other kids on the street. (although I refused to sign his T-shirt for fear of angering an unseen parent).
I'd try and convince him that I'm not Beckham, but I'm not totally sure that he really thinks I am anyway, I think it's just a game.
It's partly confusing, partly funny, partly complimentary!
