You bring the hawk and trowel and I'll provide the croissants and red wine

nothing ventured, nothing gained.... and if you get the skill PLUS the knack, who knows, it could be a whole new line of work/ extra income potential!

If you can do lumpy Med after the wine, the jobs yours. Last time I tried it I had the Swiss Alps look.

I learned to do lime plastering. In some ways it is easier than 'modern' stuff, because it is much more forgiving (doesn't 'set' nearly as fast), but in other ways it is harder (takes ages to be fit for painting, allthough less critical with lime-wash than modern paint, mixing old and new doesn't work very well). On a new extension, surely you would be using plaster-board and simply 'skimming' to conceal the joins?
That should be do-able, so go for it!

I'm VERY GOOD with lime plaster on old walls!!!!!
