I'd suggest that if you are looking into online marketing you concentrate your efforts more on search engine optimisation rather than per per click or online banner advertising. You're likely to get a higher ROI if you do.

Have a look at google analytics too to give you a good heads up on what's happening with your site. It's not the best in the world, but it's free.

I have been studying the ads on this site and many others. how many of you really click on ads on any sites you visit? what makes you click? and do you actually buy anything form those sites.

Sorry, Perhaps I should start a new post into how to conduct my marketing.

Have you got a 'view' section/tab/area at the top?

Well, I zoomed in twice... eh voila, no Ads and larger text for my dimming old eyes. Ostrich method works nicely for me too Snadger.

                    What ADs???????????????????

There are NO ADs on my screen !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                    Where are they ??????????????????

PS - if you download Firefox browser to use instead of Microsoft's Internet Explorer and activate AdBlock then you don't get any adverts on ANY site ANYWHERE on the web.

The old layout was great because when the ADs were not shown the page moved up to fill the gap but now it just give a white area at the side... I'd wondered why the new layout had this stupid-looking white area!!!!

                    PPS - don't tell admin !!!!

Oh Dear...zoomed in is a bit big!Think I prefer the ads, which actually I've already trained my eye to not see.Feel like I'm reading a kiddies learn to read book!(not the context of what I'm reading,I must add, just the print size)

I'm not too bovved to be honest. We use a mac too and can alter the size of text etc easily. I barely notice the ads - can't say they wind me up. I occasionally click one, sometimes accidently, but don't feel particularly strongly about their presence generally...

I think I'm already used to the new layout!

I quite like being all squashed up with people. It's sort of cosy, and snuggly, with a touch of 'oooer missus' and 'I say, mind where you're putting your toes' and 'unhand me, Madam!'

Oh, the ads? Don't really care.

For someone on dial up the old layout used to drive me bonkers as I always had to wait for the blasted ads to load before actually reading anything, this way is quicker - even for me, and anything that speeds up snailup has to be good
