Piskie, I left school with only a cycling proficiency badge to my name, cos I was proper rubbish at exams. Without blowing my own bugle I was probably of slightly higher than average intelligence, but was a hideous wretch anyway, and just rubbish at any form of test.
Since then I have grown up a bit (and only a bit) and took many exams in the military, staggeringly even passing some of them, although never with ease, but did do a course in a subject that interested me hugely. Because it was more of an interest thing than a career thing, even though I was er er er very scared before the exam (phew) once I got in there and actually read the paper, realised that it was things wot I knew cos I had been reading and learning about it, because I wanted to, incredibly I passed it.
And no Desmonds round these parts either, (or a drinkers degree as my nephew told my sister recently).

Get in there Mrs, get as much extra learning as you can, and you'll breeze it!!

Life's disappointments are so much harder to take if you don't know any swear words.
