Oh, I can't wait to get my plots back under control! I can't kneel yet, so weeding between crops has been a challenge to say the least But digging I can, and will, be doing as soon as the kids go back to school on Monday

Yep, I hate September, another couple of weeks and we will be into more hours of dark than light for the next six months.

I'm not so keen on September on working days as I have to get up and about 5.30am and don't get back until about 6.30pm so it's pretty dark when I get up and when I get back.

On the other hand, my days off with the kind of weather we had hear yesterday are fantastic and make it pretty much my favourite time of year!

A really lovely, sunny, day but not too hot, a bit breezy (but it's always windy here in Colchester!) and Mum, Dad and I got the bit of paving done for outside the front of the greenhouse followed by a lovely 'well done us' dinner! Perfect!

I love September, the schools go back (no kids myself, so very pleased that the neighbours' ones have to go to bed at a reasonable hour), and the weather always perks up again. And I also know that it won't be long before it gets chillier, which means the weeds will stop growing and the bugs will start dying!! Its a win win!!
