    that does so annoy me!

You'd not have applied for a post if you didn't want to do it and they could be passing up on an excellent candidate

I've been in my current job about 14-15 years. Due to massive restructure and review of all staff, I have only been paid in refection of my qualifications for about the last 3 years. Technically over qualified till few years ago.

Horticulture is a weird profession, people see it on telly and think I fancy a bit of that, or I have mown the lawn before, I can do that...
Then they apply for a job and are stunned to be asked for qualifications and safety certificates and competence certificates.

You could always get a job with a grounds maintenance company and become a dustbin man that cuts grass, the reality of some gardening jobs.

I've heard them refered to as Outdoor Cleaners, and some of that happens where I work.
