They'll have to record Janet and John - it won't be the same if someone else reads it! I'll miss them uncontrollably laughing out loud, unable to carry on reading. Not sure I like Chris Evans or not. He plays good music, but his voice is annoying!

It will certainly be an end of an era though, I remember sitting down to my porridge (bleurgh) on winters mornings as a little girl, listening to Terry on the radio, playing Abba, the Nolans, Barry Manilow and all that kind of stuff.
I love Chris' drivetime show, with Foxy doing the business news and 'What's in the locker Cocker' and 'The Good, The Bad and The Ugly', oh and on a Thursday when he runs all the contact info jingles at the same time so its just a garbled mess.
Drivetime needs someone very dynamic to carry it off, Simon Mayo is nice, but I'm not sure he's the best choice (if indeed that is who they are suggesting as a replacement).

I have to say that most mornings I do have a CD on - I'm mostly not in the mood for Terry, but he's a familiar sound in the mornings - hence my "mornings won't be the same".
I know at least 5 people who had previously said that they "can't stand Chris Evans" or words to that effect, yet are now avid listeners to Drive Time. Their opinion of him was based on him several years ago when, yes he probably was annoying, but as one of the head dudes at BBC Radio (who sacked him first time round, then re-hired him I think), he has matured and is an excellent radio DJ who works very well in todays "many people in the studio" kind of radio broadcasting.
I haven't listened to Radio 1 now for a while (apart from when in LadyWayne's car, or the odd bit I grasp in the warehouse), and when LadyWayne's used my car in the past and I've got in of a morning and Chris Moyles has been on, or even worse that other prat Scott Mills, I've had to turn it off.
Interestingly though - when I get in now from work, LadyWayne can often be found listening to Chris, and she has been recently heard uttering words along the lines of "Radio 1 DJ's are all sounding a bit "street".
How things change and generations move on.
