  • Anyone who has studied the RHS Cert Module 2?

There is a VERY local education centre running the Module 2 of the RHS Level 2 Certificate in Horticulture. The administrator said that it doesn't matter which order you do them in and they're doing Module 1 next year.

Has anyone studied it? What did you think? I'm not looking to become a professional gardener (yet), just looking for some valuable theory to put into practise in my own garden (and maybe a couplee of friends). I learn better in a formal setting, hence looking at classroom-based learning, rather than just Distance Learning.

Me - I took Level 2 (both mods) last September, I had a superb time and will be sitting my exam in Feb.

I'd say do it - I didn't do it to become a Professional Gardener, I did it to become a 'better' gardener with more understanding how why/what etc

I did it too - passed Mod 1 ,just waiting for the results of Mod 2(should be out by Friday...)

It was very interesting, great to get some of the science behind why we do things certain ways in the garden. I loved it and would recommend it to anyone.

Thanks, guys. Did you do yours in the classroom, KVP? Or distance?

(I know you did the classroom, Piskie, hence me not asking!)

I have studied this too. I am waiting for my exam results now! It was an excellent course, that has given me a better understanding of plants and general horticulture. I met some really nice people too. I did the course for me, not to become a gardener. I would highly recommend it.

I did the course one evening a week over two years in a class room.
