empty nest syndrome!

My youngest has joned the big bad world of pre-school (and he's only 2). he ran in and I had to chase him for a kiss!
Needless to say they tell me he loved it. He came home smelling of yoghurt as that's what they had for snack! And covered in juice as he was a bit gung-ho with the cup.

So one at primary school, one at pre-school - time for another! (After the extension is finished I will have 2 more bedrooms to fill!

Aw... I didn't know pre-school was so early! I want my little baby girl with me for years yet (she is only 18 months...). How were you - did you get upset when he left for 'school'?
I'm already totally dreading this - I know I'll be a sobbing mess when the time comes.

Clever boy for having such a good time though, next door's little girl had her first day yesterday and there were tantrums all morning...

I was a bit bleary eyed! But didn't want him to see it so it was big smiles all around!

He goes one afternoon a week til xmas then joins the morning class when he's 2 1/2. I think a bit of independence is good for them! Each pre-school is different, some take them at 2, some not til 2 yrs 9 months. I think it depends on the child and if they are ready (and the mums too lol).

Funny thing was I was so caught up in enjoyng the freedom and planting my onion sets I almost forgot to go pick him up and had to run!

A bit bleary eyed? When I took mine, I held it in as I waved them in to their class smiling, then I got in the car and sobbed lol!

They started high school today and although not sobbing this time, I was still upset! It only seemed yesterday I was packing them up with carrot sticks and jam butties and this morning my daughter wanted carrot and corriander soup with her salad! I'm dreading uni or them leaving home but I suppose that will seem like its happened overnight too

Now I'm clockwatching waiting for them to come home because they didnt want me to pick them up as they're walking with their friends.. *sob* lol

Its been a week of it here I have 3 children the eldest boy being 5 went back to school last Wednesday

Yesterday my little boy 2 1/2 went to play school he really didn't want to go in so I spent almost an hour in playschool with him so he would actually let go of me then I had to sneek out when he wasn't looking, they told me he had a lovely time and didn't even notice i had sneeked out, ive got more tommorow as he goes in 2 days a week,

Then today my little girl started Primary school my OH took her in to school, she walked in to class perfectly but once mum tried leaving she tried running after her and had to be stopped by the teacher, she came home at 12 having made new friends wanting to know if she could go back later on today which is a good sign

Tommorow will be the first day that me and my OH will be alone together without children, I hope we remember how to talk to each other without calling each other mummy and daddy, will we know what to do?

still I will make the most of every minute with them as these days they can turn into teenagers way too quickly
