Managing my time

I don't mind Avon or Kleeneze catalogues. I get fed up with our Betterware person who leaves the brochure with a note saying it will be collected such a day then never comes back so I won't order from them.

I like the book being left with a collect date as I can browse as I please and buy or not as I feel.

Thats the way to do it.

I have worked this morning so I am off now till wednesday, only took me two hours to go round and picked up a few more orders, definatly worth it so far.

Is it Avon that you are doing Jackie? I am about to go out with my books. I collect and drop off on the same day then have a few clear days and go out again.

Thanks as I only work one night a week I wanted more without being tied to hours, so this seemed the best way, it will take a while to get to know who my real customers will be. Please can I say ( again ) if you do get a catolouge please put it back out as sometimes ( in my case ) we have to buy them. If after a couple of days the person hasnt collected on the day promised then by all means put them in the recycle bin. Another way is to pop a note in the front please dont leave again. The other company ( starts with a B ) who is similar to mine do not have to buy their books so no loss to them.

That's exactly what I did. (working for Avon and knowing you have to pay for catalogues). The Betterware man doesn't leave them anymore. We really don't get any others. If you are doing Avon, could you not open it up to Vine members, or is that against the rules? (Vine and Avon rules)

I am not sure of the rules with other companies - Jackie is not doing Avon but another company. I do Avon, as do other grape members here. But it would not be viable to sell out of your area due to postal costs and with Avon we have set territory of roads. It can sometimes be disheartening - Leave lots of brochures but get little orders. But hard work and in time usually builds a nice customer base.
