Mine was bladdy fantastic!
Friday night my Ma came round to babysit whilst LadyWayne and I headed round to the pub for a burger (the best burger I think available within a 20 mile radius) and some time on our own. Had a nice stroll back - although it was a little chilly.
Unfortunately, Bean was teething so I only managed 4 hours sleep, but it was cool.
Saturday was a bacon sarnie and then got to painting the front door frame. We then headed to the village "carnival" (like a large village fete). We took Bean's quilt, a cool box and some beverages, along with Brother-in-Law and his girlfriend, then met some friends and sat in the sun whilst listening to the steel band, watching the dog agility and falconry displays (which was fantastic), and then witnessed some poor dude from one of the pub tug of war teams bust his knee. Had an ice crem, and some grub then headed back home once it'd all finished for some Indian.
Yesterday woke up and went to buy a new bed (super king this time to fit Bean in teh middle), and then finished off the door. Then set about making pans and pans of chutney - man that takes a long time! Had a lovely steak dinner with some home made bernaise sauce and a glass of red whilst watching Waking the Dead and then to snooze.
Woke at 5 this morning and took Bean off to the childminders for the first time (a practise run for me before LadyWayne goes back to work in a couple of months time or so). Manged to get showered, shaved (me, not him), dressed fed and round to the childminders for 7:30, was in work by 8, and all's good in the hood!
Have a good one?
