Point Break, one of my faves, along with DirtyD of course ..and Ghost.
I was a big fan, remember "North and South"? All my mates hunkered after 'North' but Patrick's 'South' had me hooked - very sad day...

Apart from the glossy, Hollywood stuff though, he seemed like a properly nice bloke.
RIP.
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."
Sad for Patrick but a favourite of mine has gone today also - Keith Floyd - what a cooking star!!! loved his inappropriate comments and damn you all attitude.

Patrick seemed lovely - became addicted with Dirty Dancing, then North and South (horses AND him!) and then the rest. Sorry i didnt get to see him in Guys and Dolls cos it's my favourite musical and i think he would have made a great Nathan Detroit. Died same date and same cause as my dad too
and Floyd was a hoot - still religiously follow his jambalaya recipe!!
Two losses today, so sad. Dirty Dancing has got to be one of the best feel-good movies ever made. I love it. Floyd will be missed too, loved his attitude - no pomposity at all, just enjoyed food, wine and cooking.
He was one of my pin-ups, Swazye not Floyd, and then a few years back I discovered he bred and showed the most gorgeous Arabian horses. Made him irresistable. Good actor and nice guy.
And Floyd, attitude and ability
Chink..to both..
