Have you got any sweetcorn ready? They'd be great on the barbie too. I also do bbq biscuits for pudding - like giant chocolate cookie sandwiches with marshmallows in the middle that you pop over the coals or wrap in foil.

I think everyone's in favour of the outdoor option anyway!

P.s. my MiL caters for huge numbers all the time - nothing she likes more than entertaining a houseful of guests. She often does a huge tagine with another big bowl of cous cous and salad.

Definitely reckon a barbie is viable. People would happily go outside to collect the next item, then get indoors to eat it Cook won't get cold because of being by the barbecue (or at least won't admit to being cold<g>).
Chilli made in the slow cooker is what we had last night, served in 'wraps', because that is how OH likes chilli (I prefer rice or crusty bread to accompany, but we usually do things his way because I only slightly prefer the other version).
Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.

Thanks everyone Sorry for not replying yesterday, I crashed into bed very soon after dinner yesterday

So the better half has said no to a BBQ, so we're back to the indoor warming food.

Definately will do the fajitas, chilli and probably a curry. Also some chicken wings drumsticks... I like the idea of the loaded potaot skins

        Sadly no sweetcorn this year

I know you asked for food ideas...but I agree with the chilli & other bits you've already decided on,so can I suggest a drink?
          Mulled cider...before I tried it I wasn't quite sure,but it's now a must at all of our Hallowe'en parties.

Get hold of a copy of Nigella's book Feast - it's Really Good! Will have a thumb through it tonight and see if anything jumps out. What are your thoughts on tapas?
