    • Well done Mrs D. Just a brilliant result for you.And congaratulations to all the Grapes. I don't think anybody disgraced themselves in a competition against the world. It was great to see everybody up there on the leader board. Bramble, just a brilliant result for you - and you too Shirlthegirl.
Anyway, at the end of the day, it was all for fun. And great fun it was through some dark, miserable days. Thank you Chileman and Julian for all your help and patience.
Next years competition ? Bring it on ! Hope all the Grapes will join in.

      • Congratulations to all from the vine who took part! I may be tempted to have a go myself next year if it runs again!

What WOULD it have been, PW? Would yours have won?

                • Thanks for the link Alice. I joined the grapevine after this had all started but I was pleased to recognise quite a few names there! Well done all those grapes who took part.

We call my 6' 8" son James 'Big Jim' - it started because he was little Jim and my late Dad was big Jim - at a mere 6' 1". Eventually The Lad took over. So MY Big Jim is still my pride and joy!

                  • Hope plenty Grapes will enter for next years competition. I'll put a link on in November as soon as the details are available.
Dobby, it will be a different chillie next year so your Big Jim seeds will be no use for that. But we'll all get to try something different.

                    • Hello everyone
Sorry to bring this thread back to the top again and sorry I have been away for a while (I am getting married this coming weekend so life is a bit hectic!).

I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone for taking part in our little competition. You are a great bunch of people and you clearly have green fingers as you all placed very well. I will keep in touch and let you know as soon as the new competition is announced.

Right, I'm off to check on my leeks and pumpkins.
