Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.
Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Bit of both but more often than not, gloves on. I dont really like the feeling of soil getting under my nails (dont know why) but the main reason is because I have sensitive hands and also slight OCD so would be constantly washing them .
I found a big spider in my MPC the other day and brushed him aside no probs with my gloves on, but if I had been bare handed I would have been a right wimp about it!
For potting on and delicate things though its always without gloves.

Naked apart from brambles. And haylage in winter.
I use a good dose of thick hand cream, especially round the nails (usually shea butter) before I start digging and it helps wash the dirt out after. Another tip I was given was to keep a bar of cheap soap in the garden shed and scrape it under your nails before any planting or digging. Then a nailbrush just takes the whole lot out.
But there are still days when I forget and end up with black hands for daysAnyone who says nothing is impossible has never tried slamming a revolving door

If your hands are really bad, try the olive oil and sugar hand scrub idea. Tip oil in the palm of one hand and add a teaspoon of granulated sugar. 'Wash' your hands with this for a good few minutes.
Has anyone else used the magic glove liquid?Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

Gloves off generally, just feels better to me. Always have gloves with me but end up discarding them early on! Tried a tip on a dvd, get a bar of soap and scratch it so it goes under your nails, then after a hard days graft you can scrub nails easily. I tried it but hated he feeling the feeling of stuff being under my nails and ended up picking it out on the lotty!
