Last week I got cold, sitting still at the computer. Luckily, sun is shining today - it's warmer outside than in , so I HAVE to walk down and inspect the veggies to get warm.
Won't put the heating on until at least October (ah, good, only a few days away!) and I do try not to put in on during the day.....but you may find me with a nice blanket over the legs!
...My rule for working at home is that the heating isn't allowed on until at least 3pm...
blow that for a game of soldiers - if I'm cold the heating goes on. I justify it to myself by:
a) being the boss
b) telling myself my brain will slow down if cold
c) being the boss I am duty-bound to care for my employee
We're having a new bed delivered tomorrow, and as a result have to get new linen (bigger bed). I've caved in, and we're finally getting rid of the 3.5 TOG duvet that we've had on since last year (I'm hot stuff in bed ) and getting a hotterer one (9.5 TOG).
We had 4 nights on the trot with a fire but the last few days have been luverly, chillier today though...

I put the winter quilt on at the weekend (13.5). It was really cold here last night, I got up and put the heating on even the cat got in his radiator hammock. I'm thinking of ripping my H.R.T patch off so I can have a hot flush
I've just been outside to warm up
These old houses keep cooler in the summer- and are 'supposed' to be warmer in the winter ( ha! I heave M leponge say!!!):
HA!!!
Lovely and cool in the summer, considerably colder in the winter. Brrrrr!!
Autumn you say?? About 35 here today, but the mahoosive monitor lizard I saw on the tee of the 10th, sunning himself, didnt appear to be complaining.

Life's disappointments are so much harder to take if you don't know any swear words.
