Good grief! Stiff upper lip and think of The Empire young man!

Mind you... rugby? The last match I saw - well, I say 'saw', it was on in the background, I think I was actually cutting my toenails or counting the dots on the wallpaper... I was definitely doing something more interesting - but anyway, one of the teams was wearing a lovely baby pink strip (I think they MAY have been a French side!) and there did seem to be an awful lot of grasping of other gentlemen's bodily parts
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."

I'm sorry laydeez, I was so overcome with the unnecessary hugging that I had to go and lie down in a dark room with a cold flannel over my eyes.

I'm happy embracing another culture figuratively, but the reality of hugging over a hundred Pakistani men in a day wasnt pleasant.
I suppose its nice to be loved, but when my no jiggyjiggy house manager wanted a second hug I called it a day.

I think that very same rugby team of which you speak Seahorse, would be Stade Francaise, and they publish a calender of themselves every year with musclebound rugby types wearing very little except smiles and bulging biceps. Probably less toenail cutting and more attention on Mr February??

And Janeyo, I still feel uncomfortable when my male French friends come into the house and kiss me, instead of giving me a proper manly handshake as they should. I could start about recent history indicating the manly handshake is clearly a better form of defence than male kissing but probably wont.

As well - it shows your French male friends have fully accepted you into their community Bob- it's quite a compliment ya know!
My OH has a couple of male friends who kiss him which is lovely ( it took him a while to feel comfortable with it)...you should see the faces of our male English friends and family though when they do that to him!!!!

hmm...I think 'no jiggyjiggy' man is pushing the limit though...esp after half the gardening fraternity 'know' about him now!

Enjoy your extra helping of goat mate!!!!

Nevermind those 'french woosies' hows our Johnny doing? I saw a Sky Sports News interview with him the other day. Seems Toulon have taken to him & him to them, I bet there will be a few calendar shots of him!

'Tis true that I know I have been accepted by my male French friends when they walk in the door and stick a smacker on my cheeks, doesnt make it right though!!

Saw Jonny's first match for Toulon just before I came back out to work, on French tv. The match was a draw, with JW missing a couple of vital pens, should really have won the game, but he played ok and staggeringly didnt get injured. The French love a good bit of drama, so to have a name like him playing in the top 14 was tantamount to hero worship for the commentators, and my goodness me did they go overboard.
They grabbed him for an interview at the end, and his French was ok as it goes, and he certainly seems to be enjoying himself.
