I notice lots of grapes have links to their blog pages. I know how to set up a blog but has anyone any tips and advice on how they use theirs. How often is yours updated, what do you include etc. etc.

Hello Digger, You can use your Blog any way you like, it just depends what you want it for. I only use mine for pics of my garden so that grapes can have a look if they like. I've put a link on for you.

Dependiong on what you want Jennie there are free ones, but for some more functionbality you do have to pay! A basic one is all most folks need, the main places are blogspot and livejournal (both of which are www and .com's)Blessings

Thanks Alice. I have already set up a blog on blogspot. I thought of keeping a diary/journal of life on the plot so putting photos on it would be good as well as what is happening generally on the site.
Jennie - the page looks like a website and you can choose what sort of design you want to use from a set of templates. Then it's a case of keeping the blog interesting, which is where I was looking for advice from grapes. I hope that I don't go off with enthusiasm in January only to lapse in February.
When I have something to say (and/or see) I will put a link to the blog but at the moment I feel a bit like a basic beginner and want to keep it to myself.Digger-07

Hello Jennie, no I don't pay for the Blog. The programme I use for posting my pics - Picassa - it's a free download from Google - has a link on it which says Blog this. You just go there and follow the onscreen instructions to set up the blog, then any pic you want to put on you just click Blog this from the Picassa site. It's very simple. I can do it.

Can someone tell me how to add my Blog link to the grapevine Blog link page?

Thanks all! Sounds interesting.
Ben - I didn't know there was a Blog link page. I think most folk have it within their signature, or that's where I seem to logon to most anyway. Being relatively IT illiterate I may not be the best to answer this one, but I'm sure Lesley (all bow low!) will be along in a minute!~

Hi
My blog hasn't been going long, but I felt that I wanted somewhere to blow off about how mad I consider the world to be, so found etribes which is free. You don't get a lot of space for pictures, but can pay and have more if you need/want it (which I dont)
