Really looking forward to next year

I think I may have posted along these lines already, but can't find it in amongst the pages of my dross postings.

Anyway - I am really quite excited about next year. I know I shouldn't wish my life away, and I'm not really , but I am full of optimism for 2010 (job/work situation notwithstanding).

I've got a pretty good idea of what I want to do, what I'm going to grow and what I'm going to do with it when it does.

I guess this is in part due to the whole 3-year thing discussed on another thread, where I'm in a more knowlegdeable place, and more confident in what I'm doing.

Me too, Wayne. This year was a little better than last year und so weiter.

I have great plans about managing to grow enough carrots, peas, onions and spuds so that I don't have to go to the supermarket to buy any (fat chance, but a girl can dream can't she? )

Inspired by your Ma, I also plan to grow more beans - they are just so pretty.

And, yes, optimism is great isn't it - keep it up matey, you'll soon be selling veg from your front door

I love this time of year when all the seed catalogues start to drop through the letter box, I get really giddy about what I want to grow, what new thing I haven't grown and fancy trying, I plan to build a new raised bed from some old sleepers in the next few week, so I'll be working out what to plant in that, I plan to grow more root veg this next year, my freezer is not far of full of all the goodies I grew this year...and just think Wayne you'll have "BEAN" to help you, well kind of help, and that is something to look forward to. XX

This time of year I realise I'll NEVER have enough room to grow all I want to. Curse those seed catalogues!
But how dismal, if you never had any ambitions. Roll on next year.

There is no next year for me.............just a continuous growing period where my plot hopefully will be full of veg at all times!

No next year for me either....beds being filled now - just waiting for the beans to finish as I have loads of leeks to move, garlic to go in, onions to go in, brassicas just sprouted, yada yada yada......I do want to screw together my newly made raised beds on 1/3 of the plot inbetween though......

I've just planted 100s of daffodils and irises, planning for a lovely show in March 2010. The thought of those lovely flowers has to get me through the winter

tomorrow I'll be shelling lots of dried French beans, and planning what and how many to grow next year.

I think we must be. Next year my plot is going to be the tidiest and most productive on the site. (Well maybe)
