What a horrendous situation to be in. In a few hours it will be time for a Bean smile and cuddle, concentrate on the postives.

Half an hour until meeting time....

Don't think it's going to be usual P.O.E.T.S day today (16:30).

        Once it's done it's done I guess.

I have a feeling I've been calling myself Stu all day for nothing though.

Hope the evening at least turns out to be enjoyable. Looking forward to ours. I'm doing 3 courses (we usually have one HUGE one!).

This sort of thing is horrible to all concerned. I've been on the other side - having to tell people they have to go. That's fairly rubbish too - especially as they were friends - one still is. Hope everything turns out well for you. Unfortunately, even if it does you may have months of worry.

Hope it's going/has gone as well as it can, Wayne. Beer, cider and wine tonight, I think! Have one on me.

Well, sent an all company email an hour or so ago, which will hopefully help settle things down a bit (rumours and hearsay doing their thing currently).

It would appear that the committee's involvement is merely as an "adjudicator" or a "conduit" between management and staff, so no setting of criteria thankfully, and no informing of outcomes etc.

Just had dinner, one glass of red down and LadyWayne's just bought me some cheesecake through.

H is in bed and I'm listening to Pearl Jam on iPlayer when they were on Zane Lowe's show earlier this week. I'm happy!

Sorry that you're in a tricky situation but glad it's clearing on your responsibilities at work and the wine and cheesecake are hitting home. I'm sure your colleague will be reassured knowing you're acting as a mediator who'll be fair and honest to both sides.

Must be a weird moon this week as unrest, unhappiness and difficult decisions are abound it seems. Mine has come in the form of family trouble which I can't undo and have no choice over either (long story with my Bambina, my mum and a family pet).

Cuppa Tea (for 50) for me.

Next weeks is a new one - good luck mate.
