I would like some socks - both 'normal' socks and walking socks please, oh, and a new pair of slippers (fluffy boot kind of ones)

However, if any relatives are reading this, I'd just like vouchers please. B&Q or Lakeland are fine thanks!

We will again be making things for people for Christmas, so I've been checking prices of packing and raw materials. We'll probably start the cosmetics in October, and the baking will all be done last minute, so things are as fresh as possible

I'm like that with brandy Bob, very sick all over someone's dress suit after a mess night.

I would like: a bale of compost for spring sowings, more time to spend gardening, enough money to retire on which would sort out most of the rest of my wish list.

If we are going for 'fantasy wish-list' I'd like
A bit more garden, less slope and some soil (not just ½inch over chalk) with space for a few chooks and neighbours who would look after them when we go away.
Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.

I love getting things ready for the big day, but does anyone else end up having spent so much time in the kitchen that they're not very hungry by the time lunch arrives?

So, this year, I will ask for a kitchen fairy to do the cooking, so I can enjoy dinner :-)

I buy the decs/crackers/lights etc in jan, then just buy bargains online all year for presents.

Apart form supermarkets and the odd visit to wilkos etc, I barely see a shop.

Some of the discount websites and offers about these days are brilliant.

I used to be in the real tree camp, but after getting infested with long thin worms falling off the tree one year and the hassle of dragging the things out in Jan, I now have a fake. Brought 2nd hand off ebay though, so no carbon/plastic worries!

I'll add Taboo to that list. In my yoof, I really enjoyed it, but somebody bought me a bottle for my 21st birthday and the lot was drunk neat before we left student accomm for a night out in Preston. Oh boy, was I ill that evening! Sick everywhere, but when I got into the club, I bought a bottle of water, found a sofa and slept the whole night!!! Never even saw the dance floor until the end, when somebody woke me up when rounding up the troops!

As for Christmas, my only plans so far are for sloe gin and limoncello. Everyone else can wait until Christmas eve.
