I'm a chocolate ice cream fanatic, but it has to be really good stuff. Ben and Jerry's used to make an unadulterated choc ice cream (no bits or anything) - it was the business!! But you can't get it any more.

My OH is dairy free (like Glutton4's) so we keep Swedish Glace (vanilla, raspberry, choc and Neapolitan in the freezer).

...But I do like lemon, mango and raspberry sorbets too...oh no, now I'm salivating!!

I scream you scream we all scream for ice cream.

      Ben & Jerry's for me.

That said, it's very rare I have it anyways.

Can you imagine a 99 made of sorbet?! Bleurgh!

Recently discovered the Ben & Jerry's Wich. So very wrong, yet so very right. Two slabs of cookie Dough, with a layer of Ben & Jerry's inbetween.

        Swedish Glace is surprisingly nice.
I'm not a great fan of frozen desserts unless I have a sore throat ... and then it's got to be the top inch of a Carte d'Or, where all the flavour is.

I love ice cream. A local one is Bradwells. They sell it in the park down the road, and thoughtfully garnish them for the greedy with a fudge thing and a Flake. I usually have English toffee on one side, and raspberry on t'other.

Otherwise, I'm partial to Haagen D - chocolate, vanilla, strawberry or that cookie one. Or a nice choc ice. Basically just love ice cream, except for vile synthetic stuff.

I quite like a savoury sorbet as a pre-starter sometimes. Had a nice fresh basil one once. Otherwise the only problem with sorbets is that they're not quite ice cream.

I worked in Baskin Robbins when I was a student. I had to get a bigger tabard after only a few weeks. That would have been the hot fudge sauce and the Pralines and Cream then.

Ice cream is a rarity here, unless I make a batch (that ice cream machine was a great buy. Must get making again next year, when we have a decent freezer). Specialities include
                    Chocolate, with white chocolate chips
                    Maple
                    Mango
                    Strawberry
plus an assortment of sorbets, Raspberry being top favourite, but orange-and-pineapple is nice too.

Yeah, I like both, preference varies with mood etc, but times when I prefer sorbet are more often than times when I prefer ice-cream....

there wasn't a button for that - and 'No Preference' seemd very tame! So I went for sorbet.

But I do like Mackie's Vanilla...

Did they do licorice when you were there? Haven't seen it for years. (Licorice is practically a sorbet! )
