f you look for a different job,
a) there is no guarantee you will like it any better
b) there is no guarantee you will get on better with the people around you
c) there is no certainty you will find one at all
I would LOOK for alternative jobs, but not consider leaving a secure job, with tasks you like, until a better option is 'on the cards'.
The only time I really couldn't get on with those I was supposed to work with was when I was a newcomer and they all had interests I didn't share (mainly playing squash). I also suffered even more in those days from FIM.
